Yarn Swift with Ball Bearing Base

This swift is wonderful. I got it together with the jumbo maple ball winder, and they are a perfect pair.

Love using this swift. Runs smoothly without clamping to table, yarn doesn't catch as much as on umbrella style swifts

I am so happy with this swift. My umbrella swift was 7 or 8 years old and the string connections were fraying. It was also hard to find a long enough straight edge to set the swift and my ball winder in tandem. This swift has no wooden surfaces binding so it moves effortlessly. Thank you for such a simple engineered swift.

I had been looking over a year for a swift. My sister had the one with the wooden legs. This one with the ball bearings is wonderful. Very smooth and easy to use. Customer service is excellent! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this swift.

I wrote on Ravelry.com how I was tired of winding yarn from the backs of 2 chairs put together. A woman I don't even know saw my post and gave me this site and told me she had ordered one of these swifts and she loved it. I took her advice after seeing the price and how low it was as many of the umbrella types start at $50 or higher. For only $2 more I bought the larger swift. It arrived within 4-5 days and I set it up so easily and the yarn also winded so easily it was ridiculous! (I already owned a plastic ball winder) My boyfriend decided to "help" by holding the yarn as it went from the swift to the ball winder to keep the tension even. He was very impressed as was I as to the quality of this swift. The wood is sanded smooth and there was no snagging of the yarn anywhere on the swift. The ball bearings made the swift move very smoothly. If you are thinking of getting a yarn swift I highly recommend this one from this company. There is even a tutorial as to how to set up and use the swift. No more using the backs of chairs for me! Thank you Mr. Hale for a wonderful product! When I can afford it the maple ball winder is on my Christmas wish list!

Ordered this swift and it arrived in only two days. Simple, well made design, easy to set up and put away. Smooth operation, sturdy construction with no tipping right from the start. I have seen similar designs for much higher prices, but the quality and price of this product can't be beat.

This is a perfect swift. Works smoothly and without any issues. Great price, great product. Contemplating buying a second to more easily re-skein yarn that I'm dying. Its even made locally to me. Can't get better than that!
