Great Design
I've been using the 12" shuttle for the last few months. It works very well. It's incredibly light weight. It's perfect for smaller sheds as it slides through without catching on any warp threads. It's fast and easy to pass through a shed a few inches wider than the shuttle length (or narrower). The bobbin allows the weaving to go faster (as well as winding the bobbin). And I have an endless supply of empty bobbins after buying a package of straws at the dollar store. I love it so much, I even used it to weave on my AVL Workshop Dobby Loom which also has a smaller shed. The 12" length was too short for the 20" weaving width, but I made it work because it was still easier than using a regular boat shuttle. I've ordered the 20" length and I can't wait to use it.

surf shuttle
I am very pleased with this purchase. I have a 24" rigid heddle and purchased a 20" surf shuttle. Well made, smooth edges, attractive, glides smoothly over my warp. I never had luck with regular shuttles on my rigid heddle so usually use a stick and there is always the awkward stick turn around when you prepare to enter a new shed, nothing like that with the surf shuttle. No turning the stick to release more yarn, it self-releases like a regular shuttle. I have not tried this on my floor loom yet but think it would work fine. I highly recommend it. (I've been weaving for about 2 yrs and have used multiple different shuttle/sticks on my floor loom and RH.)
